Muscat: Oman’s Ministry of Tourism has announced that all electronic tourism licence services will be discontinued by February 25, 2018, in an effort to promote the e-government system instead.
“The Ministry of Tourism would like to inform all licenced hotel and tourist establishments and companies that it is about to integrate the tourist licencing system with the Invest Easy Portal, which will be launched on 15 March 2018,” said the ministry.
The ministry added: “Applications for renewal services, new applications for tourist licenses and all other electronic tourism license services will be discontinued from 25 February 2018. New tourism license applications and renewal applications will be launched through Invest Easy Portal.
“This comes within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to streamline and improve services procedures it provides to activate the e-government system and facility for investors.”
